Provision of Livelihood and Nutrition Security for Tribal Families (PLANT) is a project aimed at ensuring food, nutrition and income security of the people belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Castes, covering 20 villages of Churchu block, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.

The creation of alternative irrigation sources have helped in partially reducing the vulnerability due to climate fluctuation while the off farm income generation through rearing of improved breed of goat, pig and poultry, have emerged as a dependable source of income to absorb the shock.

Besides, the programme intervention has also helped impoverished families avail welfare schemes and entitlements.
