Promoting Agri-Enterprise among Vulnerable Farming Households or the PAVE project, covering 15 villages of Gola block, Ramgarh district, Jharkhand, is an effort to educate the people about diversified agricultural techniques through which they can maximize their income.
Sale of crops like Paddy, wheat, maize, millets, pulses, and variety of vegetables at the Gola market is the main source of income. However, due to the lack of market knowledge, the agriculture dependent community is forced to accept whatever rates they are offered.
This project concentrates on making the people aware about marketing initiatives, processing, value additions, favourable periods of market demands, transport and storage facilities, access to credit, access to government schemes and the use of collective effort to maximize the immense potential from agriculture.
“I am so happy to hear about an organization offering equal opportunity to both the male and female members of the same community, within a common platform” – Gita Devi, Ghagra Village, Gola
