Youth Education for Peace (YEP) programme was introduced to increase youth participation in community development. This project is an effort to make the youth potential information pools for their communities apart from enhancing their problem solving capacities.
Working in collaboration with different education institutions, the project has reached out to youth in Srinagar (focusing on marginalized areas) and trained them in leadership, life skills, governance, street theatre, alternate expressions and conflict management.
Till date, the project has covered around 2,000 youth through direct intervention throughout the district Srinagar. Currently, it covers 100 youth through Youth Groups, which has students as well as other youth members from the communities.
