International Youth Day : Celebrating the power of YOUTH!

When COVID-19 was declared a pandemic, most of the countries announced a nationwide lockdown. In India, a vast majority of people lost livelihood and domestic violence cases hiked and anxiety and depression engulfed a large section of the population.  As young volunteers, most of us found it very difficult to act as there was always the fear of contaminating and spreading the virus.

Yet, these times of crisis also reminded us about our duties as a member of this society and to come together to fight against these challenges. We realized that as a young member of the society, there are a plethora of things we can do starting with assisting the elderly members of your family, counter fake news by disseminating accurate information, and a simple phone call to dear ones can go a long way.

On the occasion of International Youth Day, our youth leaders have taken a pledge for youth engagement for global action. Our youth team has also come with a Volunteer Action Guide to help break the cycle of bystanders and start taking action. The volunteer Guide will help young people on how they can volunteer during COVID times.
