IGSSS has bagged the second position in the Asia Regional Good Practice collation exercise under the theme “Capacity development in Humanitarian, DRR and Development” organized by Oxfam International, SATHI Networks, ICVA.
IGSSS’s developed a cadre of Para vets in flood affected districts of Assam. An intensive training on livestock care and management to the community members to become barefoot veterinary practitioners was imparted. The 47 trained para vets now provide low cost and timely veterinary service for the livestock in their areas making the lives of people easier.
