#GIFTOFWATER

“We are facing severe problem because of no water. ponds, nala everything is dried up. We are not even able to get one mug of water from the pond”- Kamal Saju, inhabitant of Karlamunda region in Kalahandi.

While we all are busy in our lives, there are people in the remote areas of India fighting for that one bucket of water. The traditional water bodies that were used to conserve rainwater to meet the water needs of the people have become defunct due to indiscriminate use of water, lack of maintenance and lack of awareness about its significance with the younger generation.

Kalahandi, a district in Odisha is one of the most drought prone areas in India.

Indo-Global Social Service Society has been working to bring Kalahandi, back to life by their ending water woes and giving them the #giftofwater by collecting funds that will help in renovation and building of the critical water harvesting structures to ensure year round availability of water for the 1000 poor families. We’ve started a fund-raising campaign on Global Giving for International donors and on Impact Guru for Indian donors to raise fund for the cause.

People in Kalahandi need us. They need our effort. They need our attention. They need gift of water.

Be a part of the solution and donate to end water crisis.

Bring joy to the lives of 1000 families living in distress.
