On 11th March, IGSSS concluded the exposure visit of community youth leaders to Mumbai in partnership with YUVA. The exposure visit was organized to give the potential change-makers an insight to the development issues. The three-day journey focused on providing experiential learning among young leaders who are working on issues of urbanization and promoting sustainable cities and communities. IGSSS youth group under the name of YIELD (Youth Initiative for Empowering Leadership and Development (YIELD) has been very much operational in community organization and development processes since last year.
The Exposure visit with YUVA which works on a similar mandate that will indeed help the cadre to realize their true potential and find motivation. The exposure visit also included Interface meeting with youth leaders from YUVA who gave insights into their programmes and best models. The visit blended a number of combined sessions including lecture cum demonstration, audio-visual presentations, group discussions, networking, and field visit respectively. The young dynamic team also organized a clean-drive in the slums to promote the message of #Cleanliness.
